Ingredients

  • Glutinous rice flour – 2 cups
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Coconut milk – 1 cup
  • Red bean paste – 1 cup
  • Sesame seeds – 1/4 cup
  • Food coloring – optional

Instructions

  1. Mix glutinous rice flour, sugar, and water in a bowl.
  2. Add coconut milk and mix until smooth.
  3. Divide the mixture into portions and add food coloring if desired.
  4. Pour one portion into a greased steaming dish.
  5. Add a layer of red bean paste on top.
  6. Pour another portion over the red bean paste.
  7. Steam for 30 minutes.
  8. Let it cool and cut into pieces.
  9. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.

Notes

  • Use different colors for a festive look.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
